Getting there:- Get the bus to Morro Jable from Puerto Del Rosario or drive down to the south on the FV2 or the FV20
Jandia is the area that covers the southern peninsular, and includes Costa Calma and Morro Jable and also some less well known resorts.
Morro Jable is situated on the south of Fuerteventura, and like a couple of the main towns on the island, is a mixture of old and new.
When getting onto the beach at Morro Jable, the first thought that springs to mind is “No way is this going to be a nudist beach”
However, on closer inspection, amongst the crowded beach full of sun-worshippers clothed in bikini’s and bottoms, there is the stray nudist, quite happy to sunbathe side by side with their textile companions
Fuerteventura - Morro Jable - Jandia
As has been mentioned elsewhere on this site, it seems to be a condition unique to Fuerteventura that virtually every beach has this culture of nudists and non-nudists mixing freely, and that is nudist male and nudist female alike.
As you progress just a few hundred metres north along the Jandia Playa, the ratio between nudists and non-nudists changes. Because this part of the beach widens and is further away from the promenade, it is virtually all naturist, and this is the case right along the coastline.
You could happily walk naked for several miles, maybe temporarily covering up when passing a beach restaurant.
The beaches are nothing short of stunning. Golden sand stretching for miles, tempered by the occasional cluster of rocks, which should be navigParts of the beaches have the familiar stone bunkers that protect nudists from the wind and too much sun.
No beach bars were observed along the main stretch, but there are a few restaurants set back from the beach, which would presumably also offer toilet facilities.
There was also a consistently large amount of naturists on almost every beach, this is because apart from the visitors to the main beaches, there are a number of large hotels which have access down to the beaches.
The main nationalities are German, Spanish and English. Most of the staff in the bars and hotels in the area speak German.
The beaches of Jandia are amongst the best in the world and are a naturists dream.
